I use that feature and you will still see out of memory errors! I’m still looking for a combination that works well file size wise and numbers of files.

Go to Capture -> Options -> Use Multiple Files.

There are lot’s of settings for the rolling buffer you are seeking.

Subject: [Wireshark-users] Is it possible to back-up packet captures indefined time interval...

Hi,

I am capturing packets during Bulk Call scenario.

Once the capture file reaches a certain size limit, the wireshark displays out of memory error and existing capture also goes off.

Is there any way to store the captures periodically in to a predefined files, (ex). i want wireshark to store the captures for every hour in a file.

    Is that possible ?

Regards,

Raj
