Hello again,

I installed 0.9.6 on one of my FreeBSD machines, it works flawlessly. So then the problem
apparently occurs only on Windoze platforms... Just FYI.

        Regards,

                  Federico.

Subject: Fw: Ipv6 Source and Dest addresses not showing on capture (Win2000)

Hi again,

I forgot to add this other captured test (send to a file via "print" option, only summary):

No. Time Source Destination Protocol Info
      1 0.000000 10.10.250.1 10.10.250.10 ICMP Echo (ping) request
      2 0.000118 10.10.250.10 10.10.250.1 ICMP Echo (ping) reply
      3 6.932546 ICMPv6 Echo request
      4 6.932739 ICMPv6 Echo reply
      5 7.939759 ICMPv6 Echo request
      6 7.939900 ICMPv6 Echo reply
      7 8.929732 ICMPv6 Echo request
      8 8.929899 ICMPv6 Echo reply
      9 11.176544 ICMPv6 Neighbor solicitation
     10 11.176696 ICMPv6 Neighbor advertisement
     11 12.639689 ICMPv6 Neighbor solicitation
     12 12.639839 ICMPv6 Neighbor advertisement

I have private v4 addresses, and they are displayed without problem, but the IPv6 addresses
(global) never appear in the display nor in the print process (only in the raw hex packet part).

OK, thanks,

            Federico.

Subject: Ipv6 Source and Dest addresses not showing on capture (Win2000)

Hi everybody,

I am trying to debug some IPv6 communication between 2 devices (FreeBSD both), having a
Ethereal-enabled Win2000 (I tried both 0.9.6 and 0.9.7 and is the same behaviour). I just noticed
that the IPv6 addresses don't appear on the <capture> window. I tried ICMP, and Telnet, FTP and is
the same... However, if I select (highlight) the line that corresponds to the source or destination
address, I see that it highlights the address on the "raw" packet (the Hex info on the bottom). I
also notice the same on tethereal... Maybe a "printf" lost somewhere?

Seems like a "aesthetic" bug. But any patch/info would be appreciated. Overall, this is an
excellent application.

         Thanks in advance,

                                Federico.

(Please, if you don't mind, please reply directly to me, cc: to the list... Thanks.)
