Fair enough.
I've checked some qt_XX.qm files coming with Qt:
--
/var/tmp/qt_cs.ts: <source>Down</source>
/var/tmp/qt_cs.ts- <translation>Dolů</translation>
--
/var/tmp/qt_de.ts: <source>Down</source>
/var/tmp/qt_de.ts- <translation>Runter</translation>
--
/var/tmp/qt_hu.ts: <source>Down</source>
/var/tmp/qt_hu.ts- <translation>Le</translation>
--
/var/tmp/qt_ja.ts: <source>Down</source>
/var/tmp/qt_ja.ts- <translation>↓</translation>
--
/var/tmp/qt_ko.ts: <source>Down</source>
/var/tmp/qt_ko.ts- <translation>아래</translation>
--
/var/tmp/qt_pl.ts: <source>Down</source>
/var/tmp/qt_pl.ts- <translation>Dół</translation>
--
/var/tmp/qt_ru.ts: <source>Down</source>
/var/tmp/qt_ru.ts- <translation>Вниз</translation>
--
/var/tmp/qt_zh_CN.ts: <source>Down</source>
/var/tmp/qt_zh_CN.ts- <translation>Down</translation>

Therefore I think there is no need to translate the terms manually.

However Qt doesn't provide qt_xx.qm files for all languages we have in
Transifex (at least my Qt installation). But for every language where we
have active contributions.
