As it turns out, my wired interface does work, and my wireless does not. I
do have the Intel drivers. My wireless will not work.

Thanks,

John

We've got a couple of classrooms of T42's with centrino wired and wireless
interfaces, and have never seen any problems or errors reported when running
ipconfig.

We did find that the wireless drivers that come from IBM's website caused
problems when using the TKIP WPA cypher though - we had to ditch them and
use the Intel drivers, which were more recent. I don't think that's related
to your problem though, which sounds like windows getting confused about
something.

Also, it's not clear from your post if you're trying to capture on the wired
or wireless interface.
