Hi Guido,

Ethereal on MS Windows relies upon WinPCAP for sniffing packets on the wire.
Not all Gigabit Ethernet interfaces are supported by WinPCAP. As a last
resort, try installing the WinPCAP 3.1 beta release.

Consider reading http://www.ethereal.com/faq.html#q5.4 as it will provide
you pointers to other relevant information.

Should this not work, consider contacting the WinPCAP developers at
http://winpcap.polito.it/ as the problem you mention is not an Ethereal
problem but a WinPCAP issue. They also happen to maintain a FAQ.

Regards,

Olivier
