This is only done as an intermediate step - until I have found out how
to do this :-) I just thought (and think) that testing could be done in
parallel. I do intend to honor the comments in the Makefiles, but my
first attempt to do that (first patch I sent during 0.10.1) was plain
wrong and I've only just started to work on that patch again.
