I assume by "detection device" you mean a device on which you can capture traffic.

What happens if you install WinDump:

	http://www.winpcap.org/windump/install/default.htm

and run "windump -D"?  Does it list any devices?

If not, this is almost certainly a WinPcap problem, and you should report it to the WinPcap developers:

	http://www.winpcap.org/bugs.htm
