I did not state that the installers should re-issue them with the same version
numbers. :-)
I have installed the new WinPcap on my system. The problem is that the WinPcap
that is being distributed in WireShark installers is potentially dangerous. It
can result in significant system performance degradation. The fewer users that
end up with the broken WinPcap installed on their systems the better.
Thankfully CaceTech decided to fix this issue. It is only unfortunate that
they took as long as it did to do so.
