Wireshark · Ethereal-users: [Ethereal-users] Can't ping myself anymore on Dell D600

Has anyone reported that you can no longer ping your own PC/laptop after
ethereal ver 0.10.10 and winpcap 3.01alpha or 3.0 on a Dell Latitude D600?
We have 2 of the new Dell laptops in my network support area, and both have
quit being able to ping from next connected switch to these laptops (just
like a firewall has been turned on). We both are using Win 2000 pro
(service pack 4 and all other security patches installed) and no firewall
programs installed. If we bootup in safe mode we are able to be pinged.
I will work with your support dept any way I can if you need any info from
our machines
