I contacted a local Checkpoint support email, and got the run-around, but 
eventually was contacted by "Shaul Eizikovich" <Shaul@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>. He 
actually did the work.

It took a bit of agressive wording, but eventually he provided a copy of the 
source tarball. I'd suggest a more friendly approach now that they are 
providing source code, perhaps even an invitation to join in to Ethereal 
development. They are technically still in voliation (not providing offer of 
source code, and deleting the license) though.

FWIW: He claimed ignorance about the GPL implication. When you get the 
zip-file, judge for yourself.
