You can't decompress data directly on top of TCP, but a dissector for a
protocol above TCP can. For example, http can, at least in some
circumstances.
What exactly are you trying to decompress? A (small) sample capture
might help...

Okay, so do I have to enable it - I'm seeing data come through that has
been compressed with a version of Zlib that isn't showing the body as
cleartext.
