This looks like the 4-clause BSD license to me, which is incompatible
to the GPLv2+, or am I wrong?

Doh! My first thought on that patch was to ask someone who was familiar with licensing stuff to look at it. Then I thought, well, the license doesn't look that bad.

<sigh> Lesson learned.
