I just checked the documentation source that the 1.8 series has been built from
and it correctly references 1.8. Did you install 1.8 on top of an old 1.6
install? It might have left the old docs around for some reason, although I
can't imagine why.
If you can find your Wireshark installation directory in Program Files, could
you check to see if you've ended up with two copies of the help somehow? I'm
afraid I'm not too familiar with the Windows installation layout (I'm running
linux at the moment) but that's the only thing that comes to mind at the
moment...
