I would agree
for ipt packet stats on jitter, latecy, p loss and rtt
i would look into saa / ip-sla ios features if your utilizing cisco as your route.switch vendor
avaya phones can report stats as well in conjunction with their sig appliance
otherwise, i find it rather unscientific to rely on ethereal time fields for exactness - their is some ambiguities
look into the rttmon mib
