Sounds similar. I tried changing all the desktop fonts to TrueType following someones sugestion, but Ethereal still crashed when I opened the Preferences. The other effect was to make the box feel like it was running slower.

Will the test version of Ethereal with the native Windows GUI be kept up to date? That's the only one I can trust on NT.
