Hello,

I've removed that one some days ago, while doing a cleanup of the context menus, see my announcement http://www.ethereal.com/lists/ethereal-dev/200501/msg00497.html

I thought that this option is obsolete, as you can simply doubleclick on the protocol item to expand it. Do you really need this one?

If we have a "Expand Tree", we should also have a "Collapse Tree", which would increase the number of menu items too much IMHO, which isn't a good idea for this menus making them unintuitive, as we might get additional Copy or alike entries in the future there as well.

Or do I miss something?

When I doubleclick a subtree, that expands this subtree. The "Expand tree" expands the tree item and all its subtrees *recursively*. When analyzing h225/h245 that saves a lot of double clicks. And "Collapse tree" is not needed as one only has to click the little gtk arrow to collapse the whole subtree.

That's why I miss this menu item :) I think it's as useful as "Expand all" and "Collapse all".

Regards,
