A couple useful access routines that would be helpful:

	pull a CR/NL terminated line from a packet, starting at an offset,
		return the offsets of the string end, cr, nl, and the string (null
terminated)
	pull a null terminated string from the packet...
		...

Both routines should stop at the end of the packet.
