So what sort of framing does it use? Probably HDLC framing, but is there just an Abis PDU between the two flag octets, or is there some additional information?

and I know of no capturing device that can be used writing a file usable by wireshark.

With an appropriate DLT_ value, and support for that DLT_ value as one of the choices in the libpcap DAG card support, it might be possible to use an Endace DAG card to capture that traffic.
