Wireshark · Wireshark-dev: [Wireshark-dev] Remove check_col() references from doc/README.developer?

Should we remove the references to check_col() calls in doc/ 
README.developer?  At least the ones that handle the COL_INFO and  
COL_PROTOCOL columns?  I glanced at epan/column-utils.c and noticed  
that the normal column setting functions check for us now, but others  
such as col_set_abs_date_time() don't check for us.  Should these  
check for the column's existence at the beginning of the function also?
