One of the other developers (Jörg Mayer) agrees and marked the Coverity
warnings as false positives. I'll go ahead and mark the bug fixed.
BTW, v4prefix is 16 bytes but it looks like only the first 12 are ever used.
Should it be shortened to 12 bytes?
