I'm not convinced sorting during a live capture should be a design goal.

The complete list would have to be resorted a severy new packet enters
to keep the soting order - right? within a sorting group (say IP address)
the packet should be sorted in time order and the new packet added last
im not sure that will happen today.
"Automatic scrolling in live captures" is only usable at modest capture rates
today I imagine "sorting in live capture" would require even more CPU.
