https://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=4977

Summary: DHCP displaying binary values in Vendor class
                    identifier incorrectly
           Product: Wireshark
           Version: SVN
          Platform: x86
        OS/Version: SuSE
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Minor
          Priority: Low
         Component: TShark
        AssignedTo: wireshark-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: jmayer@xxxxxxxxx

Build Information:
TShark 1.5.0 (SVN Rev 33451 from /trunk)

--
The display below is from a dhcpv4 packet. The last byte in the top level
display is displayed as \a, the value (and the hexdump) indicate that it should
read \007.
The output below is taken from tshark, but the problem was first noticed with
Wireshark.

    Option: (t=60,l=3) Vendor class identifier = "\004\201\a"
        Option: (60) Vendor class identifier
        Length: 3
        Value: 048107

If possible I'd like to keep the packet exhibiting the problem private, as it
is a customer trace.
