I am using Wireshark to do some IP set captures, and I would find it handy to
be able to have a way to mark certain points in the ongoing capture. What I'd
like is a button or keypress that will insert a marker at the time value and
when I view the capture, there would be a visual indicator (say a line across)
so that I could separate out the various sections I am interested in. After
the capture is complete, it would even be nice to go back and add a comment to
any marker.

so basically, I want something that might look like this:

No. Time Source Destination Protocol Info
1 x x x x x
2 x x x x x
========= my first marker ====== (when I push the button to request it)
3 x x x x x
4 x x x x x
5 x x x x x
6 x x x x x
========= my second marker ====== (when I push the button to request it)
7 x x x x x
8 x x x x x
9 x x x x x
