Now I've worked out exactly how that user table works, yes it does work by
setting the range of all values to the maximum possible (and luckily or by
design you can enter the INVALID_SSN as part of the allowed range), but the
slight problem with this approach is that the user table is scanned first, so
it can override a later SSN (unlikely - SSN is invalid in the non-CR case) or
(possible) heuristic dissector, so I think the default payload patch is still
useful, but only in a much reduced set of circumstances than I thought. It is
certainly quicker and easier to enter ;-)
