I tried reproducing this in the current SVN (I don't have a 1.0 version handy)
and had no luck. What I did:

Take a SIP capture, run it through 'editcap' to introduce some packet errors.
Then filter on "malformed". The malformed SIP packets show up.

Question: does it really say "[Malformed: SIP]" or does it say "[Malformed
Packet: SIP]". It /should/ say the latter.

Can you provide a sample capture that shows the problem?
