I don't know a "Memory leakage error", however I know a "Out of Memory"
error, which you probably mean.

In general: if Ethereal is running out of memory, it will terminate, for
an explanation why, see http://wiki.ethereal.com/KnownBugs

I don't think that the PDML export should require significant amount of
memory, so there might be a related bug in that export function ...

If a program simply terminates, yes I would call it a bug. There's
currently no real solution to this, as explained in the above
"KnownBugs" link.
