What do you mean by selecting my network adapter? From where?
How do i do this?

The menu bar at the top of the Ethereal window should have a "Capture" menu. Select "Start" from that menu.

If you are doing this on some UNIX-compatible system (Linux, BSD, Solaris, HP-UX, etc.), you might either have to run Ethereal as root, or configure the system to allow non-root users to capture network traffic. See

	http://wiki.ethereal.com/CaptureSetup_2fCapturePrivileges

for details on this.

Selecting the "Start" menu will open a new window; there will be a "Capture" section, with a field labeled "Interface:". That should have the name of a network adapter in it, and there should be a "drop-down list" that you can select with the usual "combo box" widget (it'll probably have a triangle pointing down) which should give you a list of network adapters. Select from that list the adapter on which you want to capture. (If no interfaces are listed, see

	http://www.ethereal.com/faq#q5.5

and

	http://www.ethereal.com/faq#q5.4

if you're running on Windows, and

	http://www.ethereal.com/faq#q5.8

and

	http://www.ethereal.com/faq#q5.7

if you're running on some UNIX-compatible system.)
