I have no reason whatsoever to believe that it has anything to do with
the version of Ethereal you're running, as Ethereal does not, itself, do
anything to your network interface - it relies entirely on WinPcap to do
that.

If by "I had it working before I reloaded my o/s with a prior version of
Ethereal" means "I had it working, with a prior version of Ethereal,
before I reloaded my o/s" - i.e, if:

	you had it working, with an earlier version of Ethereal;

	you reloaded Win2K on the machine;

	you then installed a later version of Ethereal (as the reloading
	of W2K might have erased all the software you'd installed before
	- if so, you probably also re-installed WinPcap);

something probably happened in the process of reloading W2K, or
re-installing WinPcap, that caused this.
