Using git bash and typing python shows me the following message: "cygheap base mismatch detected. This problem is probably due to using incompatible versions of the Cygwin DLL."
I'm going to try the solution that it tells me...

The pre-commit dependency on python is a recent change.
That ImportError is a python initialization error. Can you run python using "Git Bash"?
