Using v1.10.0rc1 creates an other problem. It is considered to be a
lower version number than v1.10.0:
$ dpkg --compare-versions 1.10.0rc1 ge 1.10.0
$ echo $?
0
In Debian packaging we use git tags like 1.10.0_rc1 and convert them
to version 1.10.0~rc1 in scripts and in debian/changelog.
