I just pulled the most recent trunk OSX Buildbot copy (Version
1.9.1-SVN-48189 
(SVN Rev 48189 from /trunk)) and the rectangular zoom works fine for me on
my OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) MacBook.
