a new round of GSoC has been announced: http://code.google.com/soc/2008
We should decide who (if any) is interested in mentoring a project and who
would be interested in doing a project and of course what the project(s)
would be about.
As far as the timeframe is concerned (from URL above):
"We'll begin accepting applications from mentoring organizations on
Monday, March 3, 2008, and student applications on Monday, March 24th."
