I didn't test your fix but I believe it is missing short names for textual
(resolved) column display. How much that matters is debatable. I prefer it.
The backport is done, there is no going back in time for that. Reverting for
2.0 is just more change unless that fixes a problem.
I'm having trouble understanding this complaint, I'm not sure what phrases like
"see the AF" mean, etc, so I will leave that discussion to others.
