I have the same issue with a recently compiled copy of 1.10.0 on Ubuntu 13.04

After loading a pcap I choose File->Merge, in the dialog I select a second pcap
and hit [Open]. The dialog goes away for a second and then comes back. If I
click [Close] wireshark segfaults. If I close the dialog with the the window
close [x] it closes fine but I dont end up with a merged view, I only have the
last file loaded via the merge dialog.
