I'm new to Bugzilla, so please excuse any errors I make in advance.
I just looked at Bug #6540 and did not see your comment listed yet. Also, I
noticed that thread seemed to be for Intel systems. The system that I'm
reporting the crash on initial launch is a PowerPC, and the operating system is
10.5.8.
This is a first-time installation, so the only software that would was present
is what was already on my system before the installation occurred plus what was
present in the download. Some of the descriptive text of that report mentioned
linking to older libraries, so I am not sure if that applies to my case.
