On my system this was causing a null pointer exception in value_is_in_range().
I've checked in a fix in r27281. Constantinopla, can you try an automated build
when it arrives at http://www.wireshark.org/download/automated/win32/ ?

Also, it probably wouldn't hurt to provide feedback for ranges similar to what
we do for filter strings.
