As you are looking for additional ports, I would recommend that you consider 
Cisco, HP, or another similar switch purchase tht will allow you to do port 
spanning or mirroring.  Then place the new switch between your current cisco 
1601 and the rest of your switches.

In this configuration, you can then monitor ingress / egress traffic from your 
network, (I.E. to and from the internet)

If you wish to monitor inter office traffic, (I.E. between workstations) you 
will either have to place the workstations you want to monitor in the new 
switch, or upgrade your switches from the D-Link to a variety that will allow 
you to do monitoring of ports again by port spanning or mirroring.
