Title: Fax over IP with T.38 and H.323
Hello,

before you can decode the stream as T.38 you must seperate the T.38 packets in an own capture file
(display filter "rtp.version == 0", save only displayed packets to new file like my attachment)
after you can use decode as T.38....

If anybody know better way?

brgds,
Andreas

Betreff: [Ethereal-users] Fax over IP with T.38 and H.323

If I analyze the fax traffic between my 2 FoIP gateways, I get RTP protocol information "Unknown RTP version 0" instead of the real fax signalling information.

Is there any possibility to display the correct fax info or is a new Ethereal version planned which supports H.323 fax.
(When using SIP the fax messages are correctly displayed).
I'm using version 0.10.11.

Attached you'll find a cap file containing successful fax transmission.

Best regards

Peter Lips
