Hi!

 

I am trying to use ethereal on “Microsoft virtual server” machine. When I am trying to capture all packets in promiscuous mode I see all packets apart from any TCP traffic (although I see UDP).

When I am running ethereal on host machine it does capture all the packets including TCP traffic which means that I do receive the traffic on th net , though this is probably not routed to virtual machine which is running inside host machine.

 

Does anyone has a relevant experience of running ethereal inside virtual machine or know how it is possible to fix the problem?
