Hi guys,

First, I just want to say that Ethereal is just to great. I love it!

I did installed it many times in a Windows2000 computer but now, I need it on a Solaris 8 platform. I have some installation problems and some important questions:

Problems:

During Ethereal installtion I got thoses messages. Please tell me what to do!

WARNING:

We did install ZLIB, GLIB and GTK+ so I beleive Ethereal tries to look at a wrong place.  Could you tell me what to do to solve this problem?

BIG QUESTIONS:

I'm installing Ethereal on HP Openview Network Node Manager server which is Bell Mobility tool to support our data network. I am afraid installing UCD (Net) SNMP agent over HP Openview installation may corrupt the server. This server is very critical for our companie.

My questions: Can it be installed without affecting the actual HP SNMP agent installed on my platform? Considering the actual SNMP agent installed on my computer, is there any precautions I need to take prior to do Net-SNMP installation? Can I just install needed SNMP libraries without installing the entire Net_SNMP agent?

Guys, thank you very much!
