You probably have name resolution enabled on the capture options
screen.  This causes a delay in displaying the packets until the
names have been resolved.   Try turning it off.

On thing about the GUI that I'd like to see added is the ability
to select the source or destination address for copying to the
clipboard.  I.e. right click on a packet and choose either
"copy src address to clipboard" or "copy dest addr...".
That would be very useful.
