You should install Ethereal 0.8.19 instead.  It's available from The
Written Word:

as are packages for zlib:

	ftp://ftp.thewrittenword.com/packages/free/by-name/zlib-1.1.3/sparc-sun-solaris2.6/

and GLib:

	ftp://ftp.thewrittenword.com/packages/free/by-name/glib-1.2.10/sparc-sun-solaris2.6/

and GTK+:

	ftp://ftp.thewrittenword.com/packages/free/by-name/gtk+-1.2.10/sparc-sun-solaris2.6/

and UCD SNMP:

	ftp://ftp.thewrittenword.com/packages/free/by-name/ucd-snmp-4.2.1/sparc-sun-solaris2.6/

(I assume it's statically linked with libpcap, so that you don't need a
package of libpcap, given that they don't have libpcap packages).
