...preferably a patch along with an enhancement request filed on https://bugs.wireshark.org, with an attached sample capture for testing, and with, ideally, a link from the enhancement request to the Gerrit patch and an indication of the bug number in the Gerrit patch.
(Probably most easily done by filing the enhancement request first, then posting the Gerrit patch with the bug number in the Git commit message, and then adding the link to Gerrit to the enhancement request.
Yes, better integration between Bugzilla and Gerrit would be Really Nice.)
