The OSX installer [1] seems to be broken (at least under Mountain Lion):

  * it doesn't install the file "/usr/local/bin/wireshark"
    but it creates several symbolic links in /usr/local/bin
    (eg: tshark -> ./wireshark)

 * It doesn't install the Wireshark app under /Applications

Note that Wireshark 1.11.1-SVN-53274 installed correctly
(this was the last development version I tried before 1.11.1)

Can you try r53357 or later from
http://www.wireshark.org/download/automated/osx/ ?

I've just tried Wireshark 1.11.2-SVN-53357 Intel 64.dmg and
both problems are fixed.
