Wireshark-users: [Wireshark-users] Start Up Error

Hi everybody! I just put wireshark 1.8.5 on my ubuntu 12.10 machine. On start up wireshark dies showing this: 
 
ERROR:about_dlg.c:271:splash_update: assertion failed: (ul_sofar <= ul_count) 
 
Has anyone dealt with this error or know any sort of solution?
