I am a longtime user of wireshark coming out of lurk mode.
I have seen some of the past notices about the linked file
problem in 1.6.9. Has that issue been identified yet? I've
attempted to install this version on different machines, and
have run into the same problem multiple times. I keep having
to return back to 1.6.8.
Also, and I haven't checked the release notes yet, I'm
having issues getting 1.8.1 to apply capture filters. I've
entered them, but they don't appear to be used.
Both of these issues have occurred on various Windows machines.
