Hi Michael,

thanks a Lot for your answer

The domain/default pair of (kCFPreferencesAnyApplication, AppleHighlightColor) does not exist

I put this string to google and found:
http://www.mail-archive.com/wireshark-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxx/msg11854.html
Checked that entry spoken about in this article and it´s correct.

Hmm - anyway I called wireshark -h - but didn´t found any verbose operator...

I installed Quartz, because of the advice inside the readme
"This release of Wireshark requires Macintosh OS X 10.5.5 or later and XQuartz (X11.app). If you are running OS X 10.5.4 or older, you can install using MacPorts or Fink."
And I´m using Mac OS X 10.6.4...

Hmm - doesn´t need the topical version - do you run Wireshark under OS X 10.6.?
Would last out for me having a config double (which wireshark version, which X Version) I could try again to install.

And - BTW - franken.de... I suspect.. it´s not far away from Oberpfalz... 8-)
best regards
Tom
