Well, yes, 1% is rather high. Normal here is a loss of about 0,2 %. But is
wireshark also indicating a figure of around 1 % ?
Furthermore, do you see fats restransmits and dulplicate acks in your trace ?
This  is a method tcp uses to increase performance if packet loss occurs.
