Wireshark · Wireshark-users: [Wireshark-users] Noob OS X question

OK,
SO I have X11 installed and did all the stuff in the readme file, and  
have tried 'sudo wireshark' yet no matter how i launch it,
being from the app icon or from the command line, I get nada but a  
bouncing icon and a 'wireshark' menu with no window.
I'm sure you've heard this before :)
Help!
