Greetings,

I am curious why I am getting activity on my "Adapter for generic dialup
and VPN capture: \Device\NPF_GenericDialupAdapter". My operating system
is Windows 2000.

Precisely every 10 seconds I capture a packet that has a source address of
"f4:08:20:xx:xx:xx". Destination is "Locate-Directory-Server", and
Protocol is "LLC". How would I go about identifying the source of this?
I have never had a modem installed in this computer. There is also no
Dial-up Connection defined in the Network and Dial-up Connections.

I have several other computers in the house and it does it on only one of
the others. On that computer the source address is "4C:87:20:xx:xx:xx",
which is different than on mine.

Thanks in advance,

Greg
